What is Point MMA

Point MMA is the first Sport Karate Amateur sport competition to allow competitors to try their hand at Mixed Martial Arts with rules to avoid injuries associated with MMA cage fighting.

How does Point MMA differ from MMA and Cage Fighting?

Point MMA is a contact sport with rules and regulations similar to sport karate and Olymic Judo and Tae Kwon Do. By mandating full protective gear, and light to medium contact, with elimination of brutal skin cutting techniques, knock outs and complete submission holds this allows everyone from children to adults to feel confident enough to compete in Point MMA.

Who created Point MMA?

Point MMA was created by Willie "The Bam" Johnson and Kimber Johnson as a safe alternative to MMA/Cage Fighting where competitors can put their martial arts styles and skills to the test in a safe controlled environment that fosters sportsmanship and fair play.

What can Point MMA be compared to?

Point MMA can be compared to Sport Karate and Olympic Tae Kwon Do where winners are determined by the number of points scored instead of by knockouts.

Is Point MMA safe for kids?

Yes. Point MMA is a contact sport (just like football, boxing, judo, sport karate, tae kwon do, etc), however there are rules and regulations in place to avoid injuries.
